Devlog 4: Zombie enemy and game over screen
I have finished making the zombie enemy! Here is a quick rundown on this enemy.
The zombie will be the basic and weakest enemy in the game. They will either be standing still or walking around before they see the player. Once they see the player they will follow them. They will swipe at the player and deal damage when up close, so it is best to shoot them until from a distance to avoid taking damage. Due to them being the weakest enemies in the game, they only deal 1 damage per hit and are slow. However, they do have 5 health points meaning they will take up some ammo to kill.
I also added a game over screen that slowly fades in once the player dies, giving it a bit more of a cinematic effect.
I designed them to have a cone of vision to make their line of sight to be realistic, which i can alter for other enemy types later on through development.
I next plan on creating an enemy that can only be seen in reflections, feel free to comment some feedback.
